July 14, 1908 BRIDE WILL SAIL ALONE Mrs. Bustanoby to Start On Honeymoon Today; Husband Follows Mrs. Louis Bustanoby, wife of one of the Bustanoby brothers, who conduct the Chateau des Beaux Arts at Huntington, Long Island, will sail on the Kronprinz Wilheim today for a trip abroad that was intended to be a honeymoon journey, but her husband will not accompany her. Mrs. Bustanoby was formerly Mlle. Marie Davidovitch, whose father, a Servian statesman was assassinated during an uprising against the Servian king and queen Draga a few years ago. She and Mr. Bustanoby were married last November. The bride yearned for a honeymoon trip, but for business reasons it was put off until this Summer. When Summer came there were more business reasons and another postponement talked of. The bride would brook no further delay, however, and decided to go. She engaged passage for two on the Kronprinz and then invited her husband to accompany her. Mr. Bustanoby agreed, but a few days ago Lord Northcliffe offered a motorboat trophy, and an inconsiderate committee determined that the races should be held in Huntington Bay during the week of August 3. The Bustanoby place overlooks the scene of these races, and again business reasons arose to prevent Mr. Bustanoby from taking his honeymoon trip. But Mrs. Bustanoby declined to hear about any further postponement. "I shall go alone," she said finally. "He can join me when cups cease to be raced for." Bustanoby begged her to delay four weeks, but his wife would not unbend, and off she sails this morning. Mr. Bustanoby will join her four weeks later. |
