MRS. BUSTANOBY CLEARED

Doctor Testifies She Was Not Intoxicated While Driving

Mrs. Jacques Bustanoby was discharged yesterday by Magistrate Macrery in Traffic Court on charges of operating her automobile while intoxicated. Doctor McNitt of Bellevue Hospital testified that Mrs. Bustanoby, whom he had examined after her arrest, was not intoxicated, and that in his opinion she had not been drinking. Patrolman Murphy of the West Forty-seventh Street Station, who arrested the woman last Monday morning at Fifty-second Street and Fifth Avenue, admitted that he was not certain she had been drinking. At the time of her arrest, Mrs. Bustanoby gave her name as Mrs. Demaris Easton, 31 years old of 66 West Fifty-second Street, according to patrolman Murphy. The woman became abusive when he stopped her automobile, he said, which was traveling without headlights. Mrs. Susan D. Wintowitz of 327 West Fifty-fifth Street and Luke Kelly, 36 years old, of the same address, were arrested with Mrs. Bustanoby, charged with disorderly conduct. Both were fined $10 by Magistrate McQuade in West Side Court last Monday.
